This is NOT an unusual problem for these cars. I had the same thing happen with my 2002, slowed down and stopped. That is why I have a 5 year, 50K extended warranty on all of my cars. It had 45+K when it was rebuilt and it just didn't feel right and I traded it in for my 2006.
