I am sorry to say I cant help there as I have never used line level converters, but I do have a stupid question, have you checked the output gain on the amp to make sure it is turned up? Sometimes it is the easiest things that are overlooked.As for the wiring are you sure the amp is coming on and staying on and not going into failure mode?What that means is that most amps if they for one reason or another sense a short they automatically shut down to prevent any damage.
