Mickey,
When I first moved to Florida there wasn't a local PT club so I joined one 100 miles away (Tampa Bay). One day I found a note on my windsheld asking if I'd like to get together with local owners. One thing led to another and now we have about 30 PTs in a local club. We meet every other Saturday for dinner and a cruise to the local hangout of the Citrus County Cruisers Club (400 members of all kinds of cars). One of the members started a web site and we find out where to meet (to eat) thru the site. Even the larger PT club in Tampa finds out what's happening thru a web site also set up by one of the members. Both clubs have no president or board, just people with the same interest (PTs) wanting to get together to have a good time.
If you can't find a club, make up a small note and hand them out to any PT you happen to see. You don't need to be knowledgable to start a club, just friendly enough to get people interested in starting one.
