Default Re: Base Conv. VS Touring Conv.

I carried a full height bi-fold door off to Lowe's today in order to get it color matched for paint. With the seats folded down, I was able to angle it and get it all locked down without damaging the seats or trunk. I did cover the tips of the door in order to keep them from gouging anything as a seat back or such. The depth of the trunk is probably the heart of the issue, and not so much the length.

I had to laugh at my blunder, as I had forgotten just how the rear seats fold. I was looking inside for a relase, when it finally dawned on me that the release on my convertible is actually in the trunk. I have to bend over to see them, so I guess I was just missing it.

I have to admit that I always fear poking myself in the eye or adding a crease in my forehead and scalp when I start moving about that opened trunk door and bending over. Maybe a needless worry, but it always comes to mind when the trunk is opened.
