If the spots require some "rubbing out", I would suggest nothing more abrasive than Maguire's Swirl Remover. Then a good wax, and then a polymer sealant, or Adams' Brilliant Spray Glaze...specifically made to coat & shine glass, plastic pillars, and chrome.
