My girlfriend bought a used '04 Base model PT Cruiser. I was surprised that there is no steering wheel safety lock when car is parked; the steering wheel moves freely. Is this so for just the Base model? Is there a simple part or two that have been left off that could be installed that could have the steering wheel lock in place, or would this be a major replacement operation? (If I were the president of Chrysler reading this post, I'd invite all who would be in a similar situation to have a locking steering wheel installed AT NO CHARGE!)
