The best stain remover I have ever seen is called "Amaze", and would remove tar and oil stains as well as coffee stains from the carpet and seats. You buy the concentrate and dilute with water. For a while it was sold door to door here in california, but I haven't seen it for a while. I have been looking in stores, but so far no luck. It did such a good job you could never tell where the stain was, just spray it on and dry with a paper towel. I couldn't believe how well it worked. The wife was using it on my jeans and shirts after working on the cars before washing them to remove stains. If you find this stuff buy it, and let us know where to get it!
