Hmmmm....Just recently my wife and I have been looking for a 2001 limited for her. We've looked at five so far and you guessed it, three had cracked dashes. Each one had a crack running from the center console bezel to the windshield. One actually passed thru that center vent. That one was covered up by a dash cover which we lifted up right in front of the salesman....he turned a nice color of red
Two of the PT's were in Pensacola and the other in FT Walton Beach, Florida. This must be a "hot sun" deal, because I also noted that each one had badly UV damaged bumpers and splash guards indicating to me they were never covered by a carport or garage. My 2001 has always been covered and shows no problems at all. We have looked at several other years, 02's and 03's and saw no cracking on them.
