There were 3 recalls for the cruiser. One was for a dounut shaped gasket on the fuel tank (tank would leak if car turned over).
One was for the fuel line on top of the engine (fuel line would rub on the air-conditioning lines and cause a leak which would/could cause a fire).
The last was the power steering lines that ran underneath the transaxle. (The lines would rub on the transaxle and wear a hole in the line causing a leak which might cause a fire).
There was no recall on the power steering pump itself like there's no recall on the fan motor, but hundreds of owners had failure on both of these parts.
My power steering pump went out in the middle of a high speed turn, I headed straight towards the concrete divider and just barely missed it be dragging the steering wheel over to complete the turn.
Fan motor burned out in the middle of heavy traffic in Orlando causing all the sticky red radiator fluid to spew out the overflow tank all over the engine.
