It is very simple, the only tool that you need is a #30 torx bit/driver or you can also use a large flat blade screw driver to remove the single black retaining screw at the bottom of the lamp housing, if the replacement is "loaded" with bulbs & sockets then you just unplug and plug in the two connectors, if your replacement does not have the bulbs & sockets, then you just twist the sockets counter clockwise and pull them from the lamp housing, insert them into the new/replacement housing and twist them clockwise until they are seated, reinstall the lamp, top first, into the fender and replace the screw at the bottom of the housing.
Very easy to do.
