While it's true, in the non-turbo, that the open filter will suck some hot air from the engine, it's still (IMHO) better than the stock system in allowing more air into the throttle body which helped in standing start take-offs and eliminating the hesitation. Plus it sounds Grrrrrrrrrrrrate !!!
