A lowered car will always be stiffer. I had Eibachs on my Plymouth Duster, and the ride was a lot stiffer than factory. I also installed a rear sway bar on that car as well.

On my 2001 Limited, I had the Goldline Slammers, which is a 2.75" F / 3.25" R drop. I also used Tokicos, the ride was very stiff.

With a lowered suspension, the best bet is to just avoid the potholes, or you will get jarred not matter what.

It could be that you are hitting the bump - stops too, but I don't know how that feels, as I trimmed mine so I would never hit them, or rarely at best. If you are hitting the bump stops, it will feel just about like you are hitting the frame.
