I was told that rebuilding the tranny is covered, but anything that's handled by a computer chip, it's gonna be out of your pocket. The goverment dealing with cars and warranty are pretty wonky with what's covered and what's not. sheesh.
Not sure if the tranny is part of the engine warranty, but it won't hurt to find out.
