all ipods (except the shuffle) and the iphone use the same dock connector, so the short answer is yes, it will work. i know new ipods use a different video out system, but the audio should be the same.
i have been told that my ipod connector that i have had for a couple of years will work with an iphone or ipod touch (i have not decide which i'm getting yet)...
where are you buying this from? i would ask (or email them) with that question before buying, or ask at an apple store.
