Fixed this problem.
Seems that the (spark plug shaped) vac hose was split. This is the one going from the intake side of the turbo (just under the intake on the turbo). Looks like it might be a problem for may other people too.
I replaced it with a spark plug boot and works perfectly. ( the plug boot is exactly the same size and shape only beefyer)
