Here is an interesting question and food for thought...
If the intercooler conditions the air between the time the air intake takes it in and the time it reaches the actual throttle body, and realizing the the compression of the intake air in the turbocharger makes heat as a by-product, does a cold air intake really add a real-world benefit in air temp?
I know it may help to increase volume, but does cooler air going into the turbo, heated up there, out through the charge air cooler plumbing, conditioned by the inter cooler and finally to the throttle body actually see any benefit from possibly lower temperature air pulled in through a CAI system?
Not an argument, just a thought to ponder..
