The original poster (who posted back in May 07) never received an answer to his questions and never posted again. He was from Scotland (you didn't fill out your profile so I'm not sure where your from) and probably 98% of the forum members are from the U.S. His 2.2 CRD is only built in Europe as we have no diesel PT's in the United States and the only engine available here is the 2.4 liter non-diesel. Not sure if the standard shift tranny is different or not but would put some people off in answering any questions if they thought is was different.
