I don't think there is a need to do a head job but the gasket will need to be replaced.... I'll be willing to bet that the leak is from( as you look at the top of the engine) the upper right corner on the back of the engine. That's where I typically see them leak... If I remember right that corner has a smaller bolt that can lose torque especially if the engine overheats....
