Gas tank leak
I have a '04 2.4 Turbo GT. I have been smelling fumes for the last 5 months. Last week I had to replace the gas tank-there was a hairline crack where the filler tube connects. Has anyone has a similar experience?
I was rear ended in Feb (only slight bumper damage). The insurance refuses to cover the repair saying a minor collision would not cause a crack in the gas tank. The only other explanation is a defective part and Chrysler is saying it was caused by the impact.
