I know exactly what your talking about. Just got done putting new LED taillights on my 87 Vette. Instructions say "easy as changing a light bulb". HA! Through the license plate hole with only a couple inches in width to get your arm over to the first (inboard) light and the two attaching screws. Using finger tips and a small wrench for the screws. Then if you get that light out, you go through the empty hole and try and reach the second (outboard) light. Took me three hours and skinned knuckles, wrists and forearm to change two lights.
