They are a little tough to reach the bolt on the passenger side, but I had no problem with the factory instruction sheet, and It took me about 45 minutes for mine, and 30 minutes to install one for a friend a week after i did mine, but I had all the right tools (10mm swivel socket , 18" extension and ratchet), as I am a retired Auto tech, sorry you had such a hard time. But I still think it is a good mod.
