I had the same problems. Took months but they finally got it fixed. At least I have had no problems since Aug. They replaced the dash, ignition, the computer, plus several other parts. They told me that no one had ever seem this problem before and I was the only one. But you have the forth '06 PT Cruiser I know of with this problems.
