Don't be so sure the government won't help - we bailed out greedy institutions in the "Savings and Loan" mess, now it looks like we'll help them again with the "sub-prime mortgage" fiasco. Pass the hat.
I'm old, but when I ever went to get a loan, it was if you had to prove you didn't really need it to qualify - someone tell me the difference between the 2 fiascos - "Savings and Loan" and "Sub-Prime Mortgage" - both where greedy lenders went out and gave ill-advised loans - and the bubble burst. Seems I also remember hearing government would provide oversight so the "Savings and loan" wouldn't happen again - well, so it has a differnet name now....
We need a car guy in charge of a car company! What's Iacocca doing now?
