Re: Skip stage 1 and go directly to stage 2?
As others have stated,,, the 41TE in stock form won't take the HP. Heck,,, stage 1 puts it at serious risk. Beyond that,, the pin is pulled. I have trashed a few,, including two so called high performance from Power Demon. A friend of mine has a ton of auto experience,, has done a lot of R&D with my car,, and has made great leaps in getting the 41TE to survive higher HP levels. The weakest point seems to be the OD section. Stock it as 4 clutches,, a lot of folks have put 5 in,,, mine and a couple of others now sport 6 in the OD. BUT still the warning is do not boost in OD. AJ has done other major changes to the 41TE.
SO no S2, but there have been some interesting developments last year,,, A company called SCT has released a flash tuner for Mopar. I am currently testing one in my PT. It has the capability to go far beyond S2 programming.
