Re: sirius receiver mounting
Best buy isn't paid on commission, so it won't benefit them to sell you a higher dollar system. Check out sirius radio's website and look at the radios they have there. Once you find one you like, then you can go and have them install it. Even stores that are paid commission understand that if you aren't satisfied with your purchase, you will return it, and they won't get paid anything. So they usually try to get you something you will be happy with.
Most of their receivers are an "all-in-one" meaning the display screen and the receiver unit are one unit.
I think the sportster 4 or 5 and the starmate 4 look pretty good in the PT, since they all have blueish lights. All the others have an orange display and I personally think that looks out of place in the PT. I think the starmate 4 is a good price and has a small display. I'd put the unit either on top of the radio bezel or on top of where the cupholders are. But that would be up to you.
If you have an aftermarket CD player installed, then you can just get the specific add on for that player, and have them mount that receiver where the OE would mount (left rear panel, there's a mounting bracket and everything)
