Re: Frozen Window Solution
The credit card idea sounds like a winner if it works. I never had the problem until I dropped the car off at the dealer and it sat outdoors overnight in a storm. I noticed then, that the ice stuck on the window appeared to be only at the front 2" of the side window, and at the back 2".
Edit: I tried the credit card and it helped, but it seemed I had to saw it up and down some to get it to move front to back, which I would think would increase the possibility of hurting the rubber. I later tried a 1" putty knife blade, and it worked better. I held it in against the glass and was careful to avoid having the blade catch on the rubber. I was able to insert it at the door handle end between the glass and the rubber strip along the top of the door, and it slid back to front without much fuss. Also don't have to worry about dropping it down inside the door.
