Re: Help on Installing LED Mirrors on My 06 Cruiser
I thought the PT was made in Mexico... so the blanco con anaranjado is the passenger side wire.
I'm really not falling in love with these. I got the passenger side installed, but they are not big enough, and at full left it's still not aimed correctly. The lights are cool, but they are a little weak. I think I might dismantle these and put the light pods in the OEM mirrors. Either that, or I'll just buy the chrome mirror caps, and install lights into those. I don't know, because I still want the forward facing signals.
The style is cool for sure, but I'd rather have function over form right now.
If the angle was better and the mirror was bigger, and the lights were brighter, then they would be great, but that's what you get for $36 I guess.
To find the wire, I checked what wires went to the tail light, and tested each for voltage that allternates with the signal, then went to the wire channel running along the sills and tapped into the wire there.
To get the wire through the door, I pushed the grommet out of the sheet metal and made it straight, and pulled the wires through using a wire coat hanger, then pushed the grommets back on.
