OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves installing biter clips on the backlite frame.

MODELS:
2005 (PT) Chrysler PT Convertible

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The headliner is loose to backlite frame.

DIAGNOSIS:
Visually inspect the headliner around the backlite, if the headliner is not attached to the backlite frame perform the Repair Procedure.

PARTS REQUIRED:#05166735AA

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Remove the plastic headliner retainer channel from the backlite frame by pulling the headliner retainer away from the backlite frame toward the passenger compartment.

2. Install 10 backlite frame to headliner clips, p/n 05166735AA (package of 10 clips) onto the flange of the backlite frame, spacing the clips as shown in (Fig. 1).

3. Starting at the top center, re-install the headliner to the backlite frame by pushing the headliner retainer channel onto the backlite frame and over the clips, working around to both sides.

4. Start again at the bottom center and work outboard in both directions to the sides.
