ALL of the collision information given on their website is total and complete bull and will probably cost someone their life, at least their car. do not believe that replacing an engineered reinforcement with absorber that is designed to absorb collison engery with a 1INCH DIAMETER STEEL PIPE is a good thing. the bar sits further in than the liftgate, meaning that the reinforcement will not protect the liftgate as mentioned in thier site. if you install this, be aware that in a rear end collision, even a light one, your car will suffer ALOT more damage than with a factory bumper setup. rear body panel replacements and liftgates are not CHEAP on these cars. If i could, I would have their collision information BANNED from the internet and replaced with a WARNING about increased damage potential and increased risk on injury. as for the front bumperette kits......death trap. removing the front reinforcement affects AIRBAG TIMING, meaning that you will bounce off your steering wheel before or after the airbag goes off in the event of a front end collision. the 1 INCH STEEL BAR does NOT negate the damage like they claim it does. sorry to go off like this, but being a collision tech, i have to sound the warning bell when something aint kosher.
They don't even look safe. IF you were to get rear-ended with one of those rollpans installed, the liftgate, and probably some other body damage would occur. I was hit in the rear quarter part of my car, and my bumper took most of the heat. If I didn't have my bumper there, my liftgate would have been toast.

They look nice, but wait until your rear ended!
