Hi Everyone! I'm new here and I've been reading various postings here and there. I tried searching for posts on headlight lens removal, but the search engine did not find anything.

My problem - the dreaded oxidized headlight lens. I tried Maguires Plastix cleaner/conditioner because I could not find Mother's brand as suggested in posts here. This didn't put a dent in the discolorization. Someone suggested I remove the lens itself and try cleaning the inside. Is this wise? Is it possible?

Worst case senerio, can I just buy a replacement lens? I've searched online and can only locate the snap on lenses (like smoke colored), which I don't care for. I like the clear lenses on my baby.

My black 04 turbo "GT Cruiser" looks brand new except one headlight lens. It really ages my car.

Thanks for any input. I plan on spending some quality time on the boards here as time allows. Look forward to getting to know my fellow cruiser friends.
