Well, I'm not sure the details, but somehow, the insurance company decided to fix it. I think it's BS, cuz in that situation, the mechanic still wins. My sister is just glad that it's being fixed, and that she doesn't have to pay out of pocket, unless her rates go up.
It was kind of a waste of time for me to post this, cuz she didn't even try a single suggestion from this thread.
Anyway, this is over now. Is it possible for this thread to be locked, or better yet deleted.
