do you know for sure that the refrigerant is low? there are other reasons besides low refrigerant for no cold air. bad switches, clogged condenser or evaporator, etc. verify no refrigerant BEFORE adding any, as overfilling will cause an overpressure situation and the compressor will shut off and youll be right back to square one. a trustworthy mechanic can check your pressures and tell you for sure.
