EDIT:

as you may notice the foglight bulbs are independent from the LED's, there is a switch in the car for the LED's, and obviously the fog lights in the multi-switch.
I was thinking about doing the same thing with my headlights with red LEDs. My only worry is about moisture getting into the housing. I live in Florida, so its pretty likely. Id assume you'd need silicone to seal them properly. Just as a note, I like your grille, maybe you could get a couple more of the lights you used at the top and put them in the lower half.
