If you get pulled, it'll probably be for something else (speed?) as most states don't have the tint law that you can be pulled over for. It'll be a secondary offense, like not wearing a seat belt and the best thing to do for your safety is to lower both your drivers and passenger windows before you even come to a stop. Keep both hands on your steering wheel or in plain site and don't reach for your drivers license, registration and proof of insurance until your asked for it. He/she might forget all about the tinted windows or maybe they hadn't noticed them in the first place until they get closer. If the windows are down, the tint can't be seen.
