Starter Setup
Maybe two weeks ago now, I set up a starter button in my car. The button is drawing from switched power and as such, still requires the key to be in the "ignition" position to work. I have a safety switch set up on the button so that no passengers get bored and attempt to start my already running car. What I need to know is how to bypass the need for the key to be in the "ignition" position. Will running a constant 12v feed (through a switch) and splicing it into the "ignition" wire of the key do the trick? DJmart seemed to know his stuff, so if you're reading this post, lemme know! (I do realize the whole stealability aspect of this setup and have secret plans on how to get around that, but that is for later)
