So, you are ready for the next step???[}]

Here are some things to think about when you are going electronic.

1. there would be a substancial installation phase. Con

2. you should have full control of the boost presure at a given RPM, Gear selection, Vehicle speed. Pro

3. There should be little or no spikes. Pro

4. Data loggin. Pro

5. Would be harder to return to stock for waranty issues. Con

6. Will have cool computer screens on or around your dash. Pro

7. you can monitor Boost, RPM, Throttle position, Vehicle speed all in one screen. Pro

8. Overboost alarms. Pro

9. Includes its own self contained boost control solenoid that can be installed real close to the turbo and wastegate for quick response. no need to use the factory plastic tubes. Pro

10. My favorite, Scramble boost! You can have bosst increase when needed without getting out of your car. Con

The controler that you decide is your personal decision.

Exhaust Depot installed in his SRT the Profec e01

I have the APEXi AVC-R controller.

They both do the same thing including datalogin. I was told by exhaust depot that the Profec is very simple to install with just four cables. Greddy also has the e-manage that conects to the factory computer and to the e01 for complete control of the engine for an aditional $350.00.

what turned me down on the e01 was the LCD screen. Compared to the APEXi it is a huge screen and from what I saw, the screen can only be installed standing up. this means that the only usable place for this is up on the dash, you have to find a place to install the Controler CPU, have a cable runing to it and to the best of my knoledge it can only be adjusted by a small included remote control that can be lost in the tall seats of our car.[V]

The APEXi consists of two major components, the Solenoid and the screen/cpu with an aditional boost sensor that gets conected to any vacuum line on the manifold. it can be installed anywhere on the car and it has a nice hinged mount that makes the controller fold down or up to hide it when you dont want to show it. It has great grafics and is very easy to read. My gripe on this controller is that it is very labor intensive to install and remove because you have to tap into three sensor cables at the computer conector: TPS, Engine speed, Vehicle speed, and install the included boost sensor. also you have three aditional cables that are, the power cable and two grounds. of course you have to also install the solenoid and route the controler wire to it.

after you have installed any of this controllers then is the parameters adjustment phase of the car. I recomend you make an excel spreadsheet with all the parameters and keep track of your adjustments and how the car reacted to them, so in case you mess it you can return it back to the previous setting.

Dont get me wrong, I love both controllers but ended up with the APEXi just because it can be hidden and make a sleeper car out of it.
