I am seeking help for a good friend, as I don't own a PT Cruiser..She is in need of an additional Pats Key (She has two working keys right now). The vehicle is a 2006 PT Cruiser with the remote in the head of the key. I was able to Purchase spares on ebay for my F-150, and program without dealers help. It seems to be the same for Chrysler, as I have seen the keys on ebay for about 10-15 dollars, without the remote in the key head. My question: If I purchase the Chrysler Pats key without the remote, will it operate the same, assuming the key is used to manually open the door and start the car or do I need to buy the key with the remote in the head?? Is the remote necessary?? Thanks for your help..Jim
