From what I've read on replacing the timing belt (haven't done it yet myself), the engine itself has to be lowered a few inches to get at all the bolts needed to replace the belt and water pump.

Now if your talking about getting to the motor mount bolt in order to lower the engine then that's a real catch 22. Hopefully someone that's done it will come along with suggestions.
