It's a 1995 E class (E420) estate (I think) with the 4.0 or 5.0 V8 so no one wants to buy them in the UK, they get traded in and most end up in junk yards.
The guy I know works in service dept at a merc dealership and is part of the UK lowerider scene (the cheap and cheerfull end, not the $100K imapala end!) and half the cars you see at the meets were supplied by 'big perm motors'
He got the car for $400 and spent $60 on the wood effedt and chrome strip, the other $40 was for the moonies hub caps for e-bay and the white walls are std tyres just painted, he cut 3" off the front springs and bend the self leveling arm on the rear (hydro suspension on these puppies in the rear as standard) to bring the back end down.
