The price of questionable switch from a thrid party that is a maybe fit with no warranty is virtually the same as a new OEM VIN specific multifunction switch. The few additional dollars to cover the deductible on your extended service contract and have it installed with the work and part guaranteed for some period of time should push this one towards the no-brainer in mho.

Let us know which way you go with a cost comparison should we need to make the same decision with our scarce dollars.
