Re: paying off debt
Yeah, I call every 6 months oor so and ask them to lower my rate.
I normally say something like
"Hello, my name is Echo blahblahblah I've been a quality customer for X amount of time, and I have never had a late payment. I feel that it is in your best interest to lower my interest rate."
Then if they tell me they can't, I ask to speak to a manager...
Normally they lower it.
I lowered one card from 22 to 14, then another from 24 to 12. Then I called like 6 months later, got the 12 percent card down to 2.99 for 9 months, then in Sept I'll be able to call and see what other kind of rate I can get.
Currently I got another card because they were offering me a year at zero percent, then balance transfers at zero percent (although I had to pay a little to transfer it), so I transfered the balance from the 14 percent card to the zero percent and am now paying that off.. I plan on transfering more of the 2.99 card once I'm done paying off the 14 percent card.
It's kind of fun.... .
