yes you run both. The hho is a suplemental fuel is partially replaces the gas. you can run all hho but the systems are alot more complex, this is a hybrid system. The system can displace the gas usage up to 90% depending on the system and how you use it.

I was hoping to have the generator on the pt over the weekend by I didnt get Ups today so I doubt I'll get anything done now... I really dont want to rob parts off my truck for just a few days. Plus I need to get an aftermarket air cleaner .. I have one off my old truck I was going to try to adapt for now.
