I had that problem also. I was getting a half rate when I tapped off the coil. I did not want to enter a false cyl number to get a good signal because it will throw off the emanage portion.
Right now im in the works of making my own tach adaptor and will post up the how toos on my site. Should be about $5 in radio shack parts.
