Default Re: general cabin filter question and installation tip

The Car Talk Guys on National Public Radio had an easier fix. Close doors and windows and with car running open vents and crank on air from outside. Using an anti-bacteria spray (Lysol) spray into the outside air intakes to get ride of the mold smell and kill the bacteria causing the smell. If you have an inside cabin filter change the outside air setting at this point to run the Lysol through the Cabin filter. Be generous. It has been working for me for 5 years since I heard them talking about it.
