The obvious reason that people are so upset is this...... The PT GT is supposed to be a performance vehichle, it was made with a more sport car type person in mind. Every PT before this one came with a rear sway bar which provided a much more stiff and "sport minded" handling. Now when the Turbo came out for some odd reason...chrysler decided to delete some of the performance in the car (the sway bar)....now, since chrysler is trying to appeal to people who want performance, why would they delete something that most performance people are going to want? Further more why would they advertise it on our sticker, causing us to think we're getting it, when we're not? Even further more, for those of us who have caught this...how come they REFUSE to honor it? Going out on an even further stretch, why would they make up stories? Saying they the rear axel has been redesigned and what not? If you look at a base model 2001 pt cruiser right next to a PT Turbo, the rear axel is EXACTLY the same, not one difference except for the undeniable fact there is no sway bar on the Turbo. That is the ONLY difference. In fact....I CHALLENGE someone to go to a junk yard...find a regular pt and a turbo pt, and cut open that rear axel, I guarantee that the insides will be exact. There is no upgraded design here, this was just another thing that chrysler deleted from the Turbo model, trying to save money, but when we found out they made up a whack excuse. Look at all the things that got deleted on the Turbo.....makes sense does it not? A sway bar is not a REQUIRED item, but it is important to performance minded people.....ok I'm done.
