Steve - When you say things like "wasting bandwidth" is a concern of yours and you see a class action lawsuit against DC as productive, then I suggest you go right ahead, spend your time and energy on a process that will be a waist of time, energy, and money - except of course - for the lawyers. I'm all for principles but I guarantee you will get no where with this.
P.S. I'm am very concerned about issues and if you don't mind, I will continue speaking on this forum regardless of your "bandwidth concerns", if that's OK with you.

I'm not Steve, BUT....
I never have been one to give awards for laziness, corruption, less than honest behavior, poor construction, or any of the other causes of Class Action Suits and general discontent in the buying public.
Furthermore, I have found that due to the actions of the many who applaud the actions of those preying on the general level of affluence and apathy of the buying public to be the total cause for the manufacturing industry to continually try to find just what they can get away with...
The horn is another safety issue that is beginning to boil. I just found out that my hatch no longer activates my interior lights. I didn't bother to check to see if it still shows up on the dash (not being closed) when the car is running.
I can imagine 20 plastic grocery bags rolling out on the highway and ruining a few 100K$ of sheetmetal and a few million $ of internal organs attached to the other modes of transportation following behind and/or their drivers. This could be the end to a routine trip to the grocery store where the hatch wasn't closed hard enough to latch it, and Chrysler's determination to cut a sensor here and there resulted in the dash no longer notifying the driver that the hatch wasn't fully closed.
Yeah, we all lived without those features for decades before....
However, when you get accustomed to the feature level of a vehicle and that prompts you to buy a newer model, only to find out that some/many of the standard features weren't only missing, but some aren't even available as an option - I don't know about you, but this really tends to irrigate me.
The more we let them get away with this type of action, the more they are encouraged to try to go a little bit further each production year.. I really used to enjoy getting into my 02 PT Touring Edition, now in the 03 GT, I am constantly reminded of how much more I paid, and how much less I got for it. I can understand the concept of inflation, but that doesn't mean I enjoy surrounding myself with it whenever I have to get into my vehicle to go somewhere.
Count me in with those who waste time, effort and money. I guess the fact that I own an '03 model has to pretty much verify part of that. However, I don't want to be counted as part of the problem (those who sanction the actions of Chrysler); I prefer to be counted as one who is pursuing the solution.
