You can turbo most cars and run low boost pretty safely, but you will spend SO much money if you want to do it right, that it's only worth it if the "custom" idea appeals to you enough. If you decide to go custom turbo you're going to need a ton of supporting modifications, and the cost will add up fast. Hard pipes, intercooler, larger injectors, boost controller, wide band, dyno time, tuning software, huge labor costs if you can't do it all yourself, plus the turbo kit itself...the list is endless. In the end you'll end up running 5-10 psi. The NA engine just isn't built for forced induction.
