Just incase you didn't know, the 41TE used in earlier PT's and the turbo PT's has a reputation for not being too tough. The way the symbols break down for the tranny is that 4 designates number of forward gears, one designates the strength, and TE is the mount style.
I guess Chrysler decided that PT's weren't blowing up enough of the already too weak 41TE's and pulled out some clutch packs I believe, making the new tranny a 40TE, having a strength rating of "0"! Late model PT's have this tranny, that includes yours.
I hope your warranty covers bringing the tranny back to the dealer in a bag...

The 41TE blows up in normal driving. Neutral bombs on a weaker transmission probably aren't a good idea IMO.
