I think both of you are correct about the intake gasket. I was thinking old tricks with base gasket thickness, and not thinking it through. I haven't ever had to go into anything that used injectors before, so my lack of experience shows here; loudly.
Is the injector replacement something that the average weekend wrencher would want to undertake? I wonder what the labor tab would be at the dealership. I haven't owned a torque wrench for the past 15+ years.
