If you can keep your foot out of the turbo you will get better mpg than a non turbo. The turbo has more torque so it'll take less power to get there. If you want the best combo then get a 5 speed turbo. I can get 5 more mpg when I stay out of the turbo. Really depends on your driving habit, though.
